Update....

Ok, well, before new years eve I of course had the downstairs bathroom done, the Walk In closet in the master bed room done, AND at the last minute, due to some serious Luck finding a SMOKING deal on cabinet, I built the bar downstairs in the Rec Room. It turned out great!!!

Currently, I'm making my own custom Seed Starting Soil Mixture to get my Flower Seeds started soon so they'll be ready for planting come spring.

Update...it's been a while!

I've been a bit busy this year, with building a greenhouse, and everything that goes along with that.
House Projects got put off until a little of a month ago but heres what I've done...
1)Downstairs bathroom Completey gutted and remodeled...I finally finished it the other day.
2) Walk in Closet in master bedroom, Completely gutted and I'll be done with that this weekend I hope!
Next projects will be more then likely, building my bar in the rec room, and working on the closets for the guest room and the utility room, and a water filtration and softner for the house.

Small entry deck 1/14/08

ok, been a while since I've posted.
The Full deck turned out wonderful, and as soon as it was done
the wife filled it with furniture and it became very comfy.
What I didn't post about was the small ( 8x12 ) deck that I started building
just before winter smacked us.
I didn't finish the stairs or the overhead cover for the stairs, but
there ARE stairs (the ones I pulled off the house before I build this deck)
and they'll work till spring when I'll finish the thing.
It's really nice so far, theres even a small overhang for the B.B.Q to rest on.
I did the roof on it in cleared Smokey panels so you can get most all the nature light threw it.
I'll add some pictures to the gallery when I get some.
Come spring, I have a few other things to get started on, I still have yet another deck to build off the bedroom. Nothing big, something small enough to go out, and sit in chairs. I think I want to screen that one in so we can leave it open some nights during spring an fall and not have to worry much about bugs etc.
ALSO, you'll notice to the right, a "Our Weather" block. thats being fed by my new mini-weather station that I got for x mas. It's pretty nifty and feed out to 5 different weather services.

Yes, it's been a long winter of no projects, but...
I had to get something done, and for this, I needed help from a few friends...
so, check the photogallery for the deck project.
We haven't decided if we're going to inclose part of it to make it bug proof / 3 season.
Maybe later in the year...but it's still up in the air.

Ok, yes, it's been close to TWO months...but we've had setbacks galore!
I won't even get into it all, but we've got about a week left now.
Monday is carpet day, and once that goes in, we can put the cabinets in, the counter tops, and then move the computers back into place...and then RELAX! ;-)
So, check out the photogallery for the latest pictures with walls painted, Window coverings up, and Trim all around the room done.

I know I promised pictures the other day, and never got around to it.
One thing after another, delays have been rampid. but...as of this morning, I posted FRESH pictures taken this morning to the progress. Looks like this project won't be complete for at least another 3 weeks due to carpet being 2-3 weeks out, counter tops about 2 weeks. I hope to have everything ready for paint at least by next week...I hope.
Then it'll just be a waiting game for stuff to come in.

Office/Den/Entry Area: Taking too Long???

Well, it's been a while since we started this project, and it's taking much longer then expected, but we've had a lot of set backs. Between broken down vehicles, illnesses, and just plain ole to dang tired to do any work..... it's been a long project and it's not done yet.
I did however get ALL the fabrication finished, and ALL the sheet rock finally hung, now we just need to get it all taped and mudded and sanded.
Then, ceiling needs to be textured, then we can paint.
When all that gets done, we've got new carpet that needs to be installed,
Cabinets and counter tops, and window coverings, some trim here and there...
sooo, it's still got a ways to go, but it's getting there.
I should have some new pictures up by tonight. (Friday Night)

Office/Den/Entry Area: Just over a week...

Progress is a little slower then expected, but hopefully, but this weekend, I should have the sheet rock on the ceiling and the 2 walls. I still have the broom closet to build and to expand the wall where the oven in the kitchen will be mounted.
I'm sore...my arms are killing me, but I think we'll still be ready for cabinets, counter tops, and carpet in 2 weeks tops.
All the windows and doors are in, and electrical redone, relocated, etc...and that was the major changes.
Check out the photogallery for 5 new pictures. I should have more up tomorrow or as soon as the drywall is up on the ceiling.
